The Fall Guy is the classic, shoot em’ up/blow em’ up/rom-com…..What could possibly go right?

It’s hard to think of a movie to kick off the summer popcorn & movie season that will offer a better chance to just turn it all off for a couple hours, relax and enjoy the chemistry between two of hollywoods biggest stars.

Here’s the no spoiler details from the production company  ( Universal Studios) :

Colt Seavers (Gosling) is a stuntman, and like everyone in the stunt community, he gets blown up, shot, crashed, thrown through windows and dropped from the highest of heights, all for our entertainment. And now, fresh off an almost career-ending accident, this working-class hero has to track down a missing movie star, solve a conspiracy and try to win back the love of his life Jody ( Emily Blunt) while still doing his day job.

THE VIBES CONNECTED MOVIE & TV REVIEW:

The plot of The Fall Guy is not going to remind anyone of Inception, Memento or Primer. This is a “no complications and feel free to grab a snack or go to the bathroom” flick. If anything, the movie stands as a love letter to the movie industry stunt doubles. Feels important that a film titled ‘The Fall Guy’ it should be noted that Gosling’s stunts for the movie were performed by Logan Holladay, Ben Jenkin, Justin Eaton, and Troy Lindsay Brown. The methodical, behind the scenes look at the grind of a stunt man or woman in Hollywood is almost worth the price of admission alone.
